Acceptance of terms
By downloading, installing, or using PocketPOSx ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
Description of service
PocketPOSx is a billing and inventory management application for small businesses, providing tools such as barcode-based billing, inventory tracking, customer credit (khata), supplier and purchase records, expense tracking, sales reports, receipt printing, and app-lock security. The App is designed to run primarily offline, storing data locally on your device.
Eligibility & business use
PocketPOSx does not require account creation. You are responsible for ensuring you are legally permitted to operate the business you use the App to manage, and for complying with any laws applicable to that business, including tax and record-keeping requirements in your jurisdiction.
Subscriptions & payments
PocketPOSx offers an optional "Remove Ads" yearly subscription, purchased and billed through Google Play. By purchasing this subscription, you agree to Google Play's payment terms in addition to these Terms. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; you can manage or cancel a subscription at any time from the Google Play Store app. Refunds are handled according to Google Play's refund policy.
No core feature of PocketPOSx is locked behind a paid plan — the subscription only removes advertisements.
Your responsibilities
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the business data you enter, including prices, GST/tax figures, stock counts, and customer balances.
- PocketPOSx is a record-keeping and billing tool, not a substitute for professional accounting, tax, or legal advice. Consult a qualified professional for compliance matters.
- You are responsible for keeping your device secure and for any backups of your business data.
Prohibited uses
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, or tampering with the App beyond what is permitted by applicable law.
- Using the App for any unlawful purpose, or to process transactions you are not legally authorized to conduct.
- Attempting to disrupt, exploit, or circumvent the App's licensing or subscription mechanisms.
Intellectual property
PocketPOSx, including its name, logo, design, and underlying software, is the property of its developer and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights in the App — only a limited license to use it as described in our License Agreement.
Disclaimer of warranties
PocketPOSx is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted operation. We do not guarantee the App will be error-free or compatible with every device or Bluetooth printer.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PocketPOSx and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including lost sales, lost data, or business interruption — arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App. You are solely responsible for maintaining independent backups of critical business data.
Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may update, suspend, or discontinue any part of the App at our discretion, though we will make reasonable efforts to preserve your ability to access locally stored data.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, unless otherwise required by the law of your local jurisdiction.
Changes to these terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above when changes are made. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
